One thing I’m interested in is making our community look nicer. There are many places in town where there are empty lots with weeds. These places can be turned into gardens that would be a nice place for people to visit. Improving the look of our community will make it a better place for travelers to visit, and possibly want to stay and visit places around LJ like Bents Old Fort.
Another thing that interests me is recycling. Plastics take 100 to 500 years to decompose. Our landfills are already overfilled with trash. Why fill them more with things that will take hundreds of years to go away when you can recycle them? Recycling will help save the environment for future generations.

i totally totally agree.
you should listen to this song called “do you feel” by um… i forgot… i will get back to you once i remember.
but the song talks about issues like this, about the feeling that people should do something about it, but they also kind of ignore it. its a great song.

I think it would be cool if a lot of the empty lots in town could be turned into parks or maybe even playgrounds for kids. This would make La Junta a better place.
